Must Attend Events in March

Spring is in the air and Oakland doesn’t disappoint.  From brunch on the water to kayaking lessons, a show at Fox Theater to white elephant sales, we have rounded up a few activities around Oakland to get on your calendar this month:

March 1, First Sundays at OMCA. Discover how maps can be used as tools to imagine a better future in You Are Here: California Stories on the Map and experience iconic photography of 20th century.

March 6, Oakland First Fridays. Word Art is the March theme for Oakland First Fridays, from 5-9pm.

March 7-8, White Elephant Sale. Northern California’s biggest and best rummage sale, which takes place over one grand weekend with free admission for all at the OMCA.

March 7, 14, 21, 28, Saturday Brunch on the Water. Rediscover Saturday brunch in 2020 at Eve’s Waterfront with Creme Brûlée French Toast, bottomless mimosas and so much more.

March 8, Beginning Sea Kayaking. This class at the Oakland Estuary is for those who want to learn how to paddle a sea touring kayak.

March 12, Belcampo Wellness Series. Belcampo CEO/Co-Founder Anya Fernald will lead this workshop at Belcampo Oakland.

March 15, The Buck. Held from 11am to 4pm on select Sundays alongside the Jack London Square Farmer’s Market.

March 16, Amy D. in Yoshi’s. The soulful, effortless sounds of vocalist and songwriter Amy D. envelop listeners in a dream-like fusion of jazz, soul, world, and R&B styles.

March 20, Sunset Paddle. The Oakland Estuary is full of history to explore, later in the day, and twilight adds to the unique ambiance.

March 21, Keith Sweat, Blackstreet & Next. Get grooving at the Paramount Theatre.

March 22, André Rieu live in Oakland. Experience the magic of André Rieu at a festive and memorable evening and come see why André Rieu is one of the most popular live acts in the world!

March 27-28, Wilco at Fox Theater. Wilco is bringing the Ode To Joy Tour to the historic Fox Theater in Oakland for two night with James Elkington opening the show.

March 29, Cal Ripken Day. Join the A’s and local baseball leagues for this annual event. Each special ticket includes the pregame festival and parade around the field.

March 31, César Chávez Day. Join the A’s and César Chávez’ family for a day at the ballpark in celebration of César’s life and his positive impact on the East Bay community.
